Terms of Service
Last updated: May 12, 2026
1. Agreement To These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Piper, the AI-powered plumbing diagnostic platform available at getpiper.app. By creating an account, embedding Piper on a website, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Piper on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. What Piper Provides
Piper helps plumbing companies collect customer issue details, photos, AI-generated diagnostic summaries, urgency estimates, and appointment requests from their websites.
Piper is designed to help plumbers arrive better prepared. It is not a replacement for a licensed plumber, on-site inspection, emergency service, or professional judgment.
3. AI Diagnostics And Safety
Piper can make mistakes. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on limited information from a customer description or uploaded photo.
Customers should not rely on Piper to perform repairs themselves. A licensed plumber should verify all diagnoses, urgency levels, cost estimates, and repair needs before any work is performed.
For active flooding, sewage backup, suspected gas issues, electrical hazards, or other emergencies, customers should contact a qualified professional or emergency service immediately.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API keys, and embedded snippet. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or API key.
You agree to provide accurate business, billing, and contact information and keep it updated.
5. Customer Content
Piper may process customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, descriptions, appointment preferences, uploaded photos, and other information submitted through the diagnostic tool.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Piper on your website complies with laws that apply to your business, including any notice or consent requirements for collecting customer information.
You grant Piper permission to process, store, transmit, and display submitted content as needed to provide the service, generate diagnoses, send notifications, support the product, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
6. Billing, Trials, And Overage
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Your selected plan, trial period, billing interval, and included diagnosis volume are shown at checkout and in your dashboard.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, paid plans may include a 14-day trial. After the trial, your payment method will be charged automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
If your included diagnosis volume is exceeded, additional diagnoses may be billed as overage at the rate disclosed on the pricing page or checkout. Current standard overage pricing is $2.50 per additional diagnosis.
You can manage billing, payment methods, invoices, and cancellation through the Stripe-hosted customer portal when available in your dashboard.
7. Suspension And Termination
We may suspend or limit access to Piper if payment fails, a subscription is cancelled, an account is past due beyond any grace period, an API key is abused, or use of the service creates security, legal, or operational risk.
When an account is suspended or inactive, the embedded Piper tool may be hidden and API requests may be rejected.
You may stop using Piper or cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation does not automatically delete historical account or lead data.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use Piper to violate laws, collect information without proper authority, send spam, overload or probe the service, reverse engineer the widget or APIs, bypass billing or usage controls, or resell Piper without written permission.
You may not modify the snippet or API requests to impersonate another licensee, conceal the source of requests, or continue using Piper after suspension.
9. Third-Party Services
Piper relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, email delivery, AI processing, bot protection, and related infrastructure. These providers may process data as needed to deliver the service.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
10. Disclaimers
Piper is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that every diagnosis, urgency rating, cost estimate, notification, or lead submission will be accurate, complete, timely, or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piper disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
11. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piper will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, property damage, or personal injury arising from use of or reliance on Piper.
Piper's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Piper in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes And Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
