Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Piper AI Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Piper at getpiper.app, create an account, embed the diagnostic tool, or submit information through a Piper-powered website.
Piper is built for plumbing companies. When a customer uses a plumber's embedded Piper diagnostic tool, the plumber receives the submitted lead details and diagnosis summary.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, business name, email address, authentication identifiers, plan, status, and account settings.
Billing information: Stripe customer identifiers, subscription status, plan selection, invoices, usage, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers.
Widget and usage information: API key, website configuration, widget appearance settings, request logs, usage counts, timestamps, status, and security signals.
Lead and diagnostic information: customer name, phone number, email address, preferred appointment time, location, issue type, urgency selection, description, uploaded photos, AI-generated diagnosis, and internal lead status or notes.
Support information: messages, contact details, and other information you send to us.
Website behavior information: page views, clicks, scroll activity, referral information, approximate location, heatmaps, and session recordings collected through analytics tools such as Vercel Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Sensitive form inputs are not intentionally used for analytics review.
Bot protection and technical information: IP address, browser information, device information, and challenge results from services such as Cloudflare Turnstile.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate Piper, authenticate users, generate API keys, provide the embedded diagnostic tool, process photos and descriptions, generate AI diagnostic summaries, send lead notifications, manage billing, prevent abuse, provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand usage, reliability, and product performance.
4. AI Processing
Piper may send uploaded photos, customer descriptions, issue details, and related context to AI providers such as OpenAI to generate diagnostic summaries, likely causes, urgency levels, and estimates.
Customers should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information. Piper can make mistakes, and a licensed plumber should verify any diagnosis before work is performed.
5. How Information Is Shared
With the plumbing company: customer lead details, uploaded photos, diagnosis summaries, appointment preferences, and contact information are shared with the licensee whose website collected the submission.
With service providers: we use providers for hosting, database, file storage, authentication, payments, email delivery, AI processing, bot protection, analytics, and security. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services to Piper.
For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, security investigation, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
6. Cookies And Similar Technologies
Piper may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect accounts, remember settings, operate embedded widgets, measure usage, understand page behavior with analytics and heatmaps, and prevent abuse.
Your browser may allow you to limit cookies, but some parts of Piper may not work correctly without them.
7. Data Retention
We keep account, billing, usage, and lead data for as long as needed to provide Piper, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records.
You can request deletion of your account or certain data by contacting info@getpiper.app. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, backup, or accounting purposes.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access, server-side validation, rate limiting, bot protection, and restricted access to production systems.
No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and API keys.
9. Your Choices
Account users can update profile, notification, widget, and billing settings from the dashboard where available.
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information by contacting info@getpiper.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Customers who submitted information through a plumber's website may also need to contact that plumbing company directly, because the company controls its customer relationship and lead handling.
10. Children
Piper is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International Use
Piper is operated from the United States. If you access Piper from another location, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
12. Changes And Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to info@getpiper.app.
